Why isn't there any friggin protection there is my question? The shots are getting faster and harder but these guys refuse to protect themselves. The team should insist that their investment has to protect themselves as best as possible or their contract can be nullified. Same goes with defenceman who don't wear extra protection on their ankles.

Just my thoughts.

Only question is when will he hit the IR list?
Will the Maple Leafs call up sb. soon? today?

I already got Jamie Been NA and Adam Larsson (Healthy Scratch), so I can't afford another player not playing...

lol! The funniest thing about this whole situation, is if you stand Lupul 30 feet in front of Phaneuf in practice and tell Dion to hit him with a slapper, he'd probably miss 100 times in a row. Most inaccurate/wild shot I've ever seen.

Watch the truly elite d-men like Letang, Green etc... their heads are always up when they are shooting. They KNOW where the puck is going. Phaneuf buries his head and just slaps it as hard as he can. What a meathead. Makes me sick when his name gets mentioned in the same breath as true #1 d-men.
No wonder the Leaf players can't stand going to the front of the net.
