Perhaps... though I'd say no.
Likely teams like to have a LH & RH defenseman on the PP so that it's very easy for them to move the puck.

Kronwall likes to unload his shot, so he'll typically want his LH shot on the right point. Unfortunately, Smith, too, is LH shot and it doesn't jive well to be playing one's "off-point".

The Wings don't have a PP tally in 3 games.
I would've predicted this would be the most obvious downgrade upon losing Lidstrom.

Smith should get lots of PP-time... I just don't necessarily think it translates into a ton of points. (I dropped him in my ROTO league recently, FWIW)
