Default Cervenka worth the add?

I've got an opportunity to pick up Cervenka, but I'm just not sure what his outlook is like for this season?
I know he's been on the shelf with a blood clot, but it sounds like he's beginning to ramp things up and come back soon.
When he returns, will he produce, and if so, at what level on that so-so Flames team?
My Fantasy League info is in my signature.
Any insider information on him would be appreciated.
Thanks!

It looks like you have an empty spot on your team so why not. I'm not very high on him, but in 16 teams league, it might worth a shot. Take a chance and drop him if he does not pan out. However, I wouldn't drop a player from your roster (in your signature) for him. Finally, make sure there is no better option on the waivers before adding him.

The empty spot is hence why I'm asking about picking Cervenka (C) up.
I can add him, and stash him on IR, then pick up another guy. Probably Zach Kassian (RW). He looked fantastic in Game #2 and even got a sniff on the Sedin line.
Other options include (in no particular order):

Saku Koivu (C)
Artem Anisemov (C, LW)
Sergei Kostitsyn (LW)
Martin Hanzal (C)
Brian Boyle (C)
Dave Bolland (C)
Nazem Kadri (C)
Colin Wilson (C, LW)
Brandon Sutter (C)
Mason Raymond (LW)
Nick Bonino (C)
Kyle Palmieri (C)
Zac Dalpe (C, RW)
Leo Komarov (C)
Jordan Schroeder (C)

But I can't see grabbing any of these guys over the two mentioned above.
Thanks for the help!

I think Kostitsyn is the best pick up by a mile IMO. Take him over Cervenka

If it were me, I'd take a chance on him. It's your last bench spot, and with the flexibility you have among your forward group, you can juggle positions while you wait to evaluate Cervenka. Kostitsyn would be an ok add, but you know what you're getting from him. Cervenka has an unknown ceiling and should be given every chance to succeed in Calgary.

To me, the downside of taking Cervenka is far smaller than the upside over any of the other players you've listed.
