They're now tie!
When I last checked Huberdeau had a 7-2 lead in voting.

Watched last night's games vs. the Habs. He wasn't bad, but I didn't notice him as much as I would've like. I think it must have been the 3 games in 4 days, but the Panthers were outplayed most of that game.

Huberdeau was just OK....

The problem is that he is so small ( not a man shape yet) ans was fallin on the ice too many time. Its tought to play against man for a rookie.

I could see his hand are amazing and his vision but it doesnt help to play with Kovalev,

Kovalev was slow, his pass were not on the tape, he was shooting over the net, was just playing like he was outside with friends.

Mueller was not that good too, he had the puck often but was not making nothing with it except giving it to the habs.

I would put Huberdeau on the wing ( mueller was taking a lot of faceoffs) with Weiss and Fleichmann to help him and make more balance lines.

Huberdeau-Weiss-Fleischmann
Versteeg-Mueller-Kovalev

That would be my 1st 2 lines. Huberdeau is the face of this franchise, so put him with the best players and let him be confident and mature.

THe player the impress the most was Fleischmann in last night game, he has speed, nice hands, see the play well ( on their goal for exemple)

And boy Matthias is horrible.

So in general Huberdeau was just Ok like I said... was is the 3 games in 4 nights? Was it that he play with old Kovalev ?? Was it because he is too small ( no big frame yet ) ??? WAs it just a bad game ??

The next 3 games will tell us.

I'm in there for Hubs and it's not because I think he's a more talented player, it's because I think he'll stand up to the phsicality of the NHL better than Granlund will.

I might be overly cautious of Granlund but I keep having Marc Savard flashbacks when I see him.

Talent wise they are in the same boat, you cant loose with either one, but I would give huberdeau the edge mainly because there is no one on the panthers to stand in his way for 1st line ice... Granlund will still have to battle with Koivu for at least a year or two....

I'd go Huberdeau over Grandlund... Huberdeau will eventually become the focal point on the Panthers attack, while Parise and Koviu may still be top dogs over the next couple years over Grandlund. It's pretty close though...
