Good start Pengwin - it's not easy even if there are trends and likely combatants.

I'm thinking Scott has to fight today - new off season acquisition, first home game, vs. Flyers. Problem is finding a dance partner when you'r 6'8". Rinaldo would need to stand on a few phonebooks. Hartnell could but he's on the first line and Scott's on the fourth.
Anyone the Flyers could activate?

Predictions for Monday, January 21:
1. Matt Martin (NYI) vs. BJ Crombeen (TB). Crombeen is the first enforcer to play for the Lightning in a while. The Isles are always looking to scrap at home. It could be Martin... it could be Carkner. Martin is a LW, Crombeen is a RW... which means they may line-up for a face-off and jaw. 2. Colton Orr (TOR) vs. John Scott (BUF). Is Orr dumb enough to drop them with Scott (6'-8")... yes, yes he is. And Orr (6'-3") is possibly big enough to handle him. Since Mike Brown dropped them in Game 1, I'll switch over to Orr for Game #2 for both teams. 3. Chris Neil (OTT) vs. George Parros (FLA). I just can't foresee either of these guys not fighting. Double negative, yeah... that applies here. Predictions for Tuesday, January 22: 1. Brandon Prust (MON) vs. George Parros (FLA). Odds are that Parros will fight one of these nights... not sure which one. 2. Brandon Bollig (CHI) vs. Ryan Reaves (STL). You want a tilt... mercy, this would be a good one. I think Bollig wants to be in the running for the PIM crown. 3. Brian McGrattan (NAS) vs. Zenon Konopka (MIN). You are going to see Konopka predictions all year, regularly. Get used to it, that is all. Analyzing Previous Predictions Quote:
That was the only fight of Sunday action other than Bollig (CHI) vs. Biz Nasty (PHX)... which perhaps I should've predicted. Score for the year: 6/12 |

Orr has to fight tonight... he looked regretful on the replay when the smaller Brown stepped up to fight Prust. He's gonna man up tonight for sure to redeem himself.

Gotta give props to Orr for that one... did you see the size of that MISMATCH? Scott is HUGE and Orr knocked him down to his knees... what a CHAMP

Predictions for Wednesday, Jan 23:
1. Tanner Glass (PIT) vs. Colton Orr (TOR). Both guys dropped them recently and I think they both have good fighting confidence right now. Engelland (PIT) & Mike Brown (TOR) are also team fight candidates. 2. Shawn Thornton (BOS) vs. Stu Bickel (NYR) So many candidates here... Lucic, Greg Campbell for the Bs, Asham & Rupp for the Rangers. EDIT: I had originally picked Asham here, but he is nursing a groin strain (you pansy), so I'll go with Bickel. 3. Paul Bissonnette (PHX) vs. Jared Boll (CBJ) Biz Nasty and Boll have both already had one fight this season. I'm really rooting for Derek Dorsett to go because I own him in a few pools, but I think his top 6 role means less fights. I also debated going with a 2nd fight in the BOS/NYR game... but, alas I settled on this one. Predictions for Thursday, Jan 24: 1. Tom Sestito (PHI) vs. Mike Rupp (NYR). Sestito is 6'-5" 230, Rupp is 6'-5" 240. Dance boys. 2. George Parros (FLA) vs. Chris Neil (OTT). Georgie... this is getting ridiculous, what are you waiting for? Three games to open the season with a new team and NO fights!?! This game is in Florida, so maybe Parros is waiting for the home-field advantage. 3. Derek Dorsett (or Boll) CBJ vs. Cody McLeod (COL). No... it's not fair to predict two fighters... but since I'm predicting two nights of fights, I wouldn't predict Dorsett here if he fights tonight (Wed). So if Dorsett happens to go tonight (Wed), then my pick for this match is Boll. Fresh fists, in other words. Analyzing Previous Night Predictions Quote:
Parros with no fights in either OTT or MON. What a drag. Reaves & McGrattan were both scratched. Fortunately, good ol' Konopka dropped 'em with some guy named Clune for Nashville. And Bollig fought Chris Stewart. Score for the Year: 12/24 Last edited by Pengwin7; 01-23-2013 at 10:56 AM. Reason: Inserted Bickel (for Asham) vs. Thornton |
