Offering up Kopitar, Marchand, and Parenteau for an injured Malkin. The guy who has him is on the outside looking in for the last playoff spot ( 2 weeks left). All three guys are averaging more points than almost everyone on his roster.
He'd be dumb not to take this right? I'm trying to get him to bite and take the points now to make the playoffs. I can find a filler on the roster on the off-chance Malkin goes on a tear. All three have been recent additions (wire or trade) and haven't been crucial to my long term success. Keep in mind these stats: Kopitar: avg 4.8 ppg Malkin 4.8 ppg (last year 6.2) Marchand: avg 5.2 ppg Parentau: avg. 4.8 ppg To give you a context of our league's format...He has big names like Sedin and Backstrom but they are useless since they don't provide peripherals.

Seems like an overpaying. Kopitar and one of Marchand/Parenteau should be enough

Assuming you have a lock on a playoff spot, I'd take the trade. It's an 8 team league, so I'd imagine there should be some viable options, especially with peripherals being worth so much. Parenteau and Marchand have had fantastic seasons so far, but their S% are at unsustainable levels (16.9% for PA, 27.3%! for Marchand), both way above their career averages. Malkin on the other hand is the type of player who can win a league playoffs for you. It's not a cheap trade and I’d try to see if he’ll take less, but I think it's worth it as is if you can find suitable replacements on WW, given the inevitable reversion to the mean for PA and Marchand.

If you were in his position, would this be an intriguing offer? He's right on the edge fighting for a playoff spot and considering Malkin is hurt, could use the points as they represent better options than what he has.
Hopefully he accepts soon and parts ways with him.

The trade depends on roster allocation depth.
In a 4C/4LW/4RW league, I'd prefer the PAP/Marchand/Kopitar side. In a 2C/2LW/2RW league, I'd prefer Malkin. Somewhere in between, it evens out. |

It's a 2C/2LW/2RW league so we start six forwards a night.

yep. I think make the offer for sure carbomb. I think it is a bit over paying but it should get you malkin. I might just offer Kopitar and either one but yeah. never know what the other guy will want or accept.

I feel like I can find some guys on the wire. There are plenty of options plus whoever gets hot. Quality over quantity any day.
His team had an awful tonight so I really hope he'll take it.
