Default My D-Men

We have now added Blocked Shots and Hits in our league-
What do you think of Eric Brewer (197 Hits, 176 Blocked Shots last yr) and Marc-Edward Vlasic (171 BS) .. they are average offensively- but you don't slump much in these two categories. They are my Defensive D-Men..

My other D's include
Kevin Bieksa - PIMS too - 94 last year
Jason Garrison - goal-scorer- 17 last year
Nick Leddy - did I overvalue? one-year wonder?
Kyle Quincey - above-average across the board - 26 pts last year
Paul Martin - looking for a bounceback year

Hits & Blocked Shots are very dependable stats.
Defensemen that kill penalties on good teams are great investments, they'll get lots of those stats and not hurt your +/-. Try to get PIM with them too.

Both Leddy & Paul Martin will get some PP2 time but may not kill penalties. That hurts. Personally, I have no problem with a guy like Brewer... but I'd try to find somebody better, like Beauchemin/Mark Stuart/Luke Schenn... somebody like that.
