Starting last season with the Rocky Horror Roto Show, I had created my team name using a combination of horror films and players' names. Especially with the league joining in with creative names, I decided to keep the same theme for all four of my teams this season.

Do you have a regular theme when deciding on team names?
Any unique themes out there that you use for several of your teams?

If you don't have a theme and want one, perhaps we could also use this thread as a brainstorming session.

I use my "heritage" (basically, the origin of my last name) for naming my fantasy teams (mostly football).

The most recurrent one is "The Wisigoths" (or Visigoth in English)... and sometime it's "Ostrogoths"...

I prefer pornographic themes... the name I go by in my long-term recurring pools is "The Motherpuckers", but I've had other names involving wood, shafts, rubber and balls (in my floor-hockey rec league).

I've got two teams at the moment.

One is Melbourne City Tri-Lambs - There's no such place as Melbourne City, but there were two Melbourne teams, so I made a new region. Tri-Lambs is an old Revenge Of The Nerds throwback.

Other team is Beveridge Minotaurs. Beveridge is where I actually live and I've been using the Minotaurs handle for teams since I was a little kid

In my three dynasty leagues (Hockey/Baseball/Football) that have more than a handful of owners in common, I used Simpsons references for all of my team names:
