I think their team has actually improved this year, so those numbers should at least stay the same or improve.

At least that's my hope considering I drafted Lehtonen in my cash pool!

I'd just like to end off my money league's season by thanking Ilya Bryzgalov for blowing up all my percentage stats this year, as even his good games couldn't make up for the two horrible ones that he'd have in any given week. Not to mention some of his best games he was benched by myself in favour of...

..Semyon Varlamov a few times. Hey, gotta give him credit, he was my only goalie above .900% this year at a whopping .902! Not to mention doing me the great service of getting injured in the first week of my playoffs, severely hindering my ability to dig out of the hole caused by....

...Jonathan Quick! My first round pick at 10 overall! Thought I was getting a stud but all I got was a dud. Much like Bryzgalov, most of his good starts occurred when my stats were just too far gone in the week. That five goals against tonight was great. It was also great that he gave up two goals to Ray Whitney and one to Goligoski, who my opponent owns this week, and decided to shut the door on Benn and Eriksson, who are on my team.

I need to start a skaters only league.

Because I just drafted them.

You have been warned.

At the start of the year... I think people ranked the Russian "OV" goalies as:
1. Bryzgal-OV
2. Varlam-OV
3. Nabok-OV
4. Bobr-OV-sky

Final ranking... probably the other way around.
Everybody that fell asleep at the wheel this year and drafted their goalies late turned out OK.

Guys like Bobrovsky & Corey Crawford... weren't even top 20 drafted goalies in most leagues.

What a crazy year for goalies.

Nope... other way around.

That's what frustrates me so much.

I burned three of my top 7 picks on my goalies hoping that Quick would at least be very good, Bryz would play somewhat like what he managed at the end of last year, and maybe Varlamov and Colorado would make strides this year.

Nope.

I'm never drafting goalies high again.

(he said knowing full well he'll walk into the same trap next year)

I hear ya.
It's especially tough to look at Yahoo "Rank".

All of the goalies that haven't played a single minute this year are ranked 250-285.
Everybody below that rank is therefore considered to be mathematically "worse than not rostering a goalie". (W/GAA/SV%/SO)

The NEGATIVE CLUB
#317 Ryan Miller
#320 Cam Ward
#412 Semyon Varlamov
#444 Ondrej Pavelec
#497 Ilya Bryzgalov
...
and last among goalies...
#875 Miikka Kipprusoff

Hey... at least we aren't in the Kipper-Club!
