The Devils said right wing David Clarkson was "with the staff" and unavailable to speak to the media after Monday’s game. It was unclear if that meant Clarkson, the team leader with 10 goals, was dealing with an injury, but it did appear as if his neck was bothering him after a scrum with Neil with 12.8 seconds left in regulation.

That was a messed up play by the refs. Clarkson and Neil didnt fight and shouldn't have been ejected. Clarkson got the extra PIMs probably bc he was running his mouth so much but in the end it was Neil that went per and grabbed clarkson and should have gotten the extra roughing call. As for clarkson he was pulled hard by Neil and he did look to be rubbing his kneck as he went into the penalty box. I'm sure if he wasn ejected he would have played. I wouldn't be to concerned. I think they kept him so be couldnt talk to the media bc he was still so upset.
