Weekly, 16 teams. I certainly do have depth, but not up to par with the high end competiotion. Team 2 is a good example.

Malkin is going to light it up this year in a short season. If you are going to trade him wait a couple months in or wait until the off season for a bigger return. Personally, given that hes only at 3 years, I would consider that "cheap" based on your cap system and I would hang onto him for a little longer. I would try to start pushing guys out like briere, grabovski and havlat. Those guys will be spare parts in the future and would fetch you something now for your future. Because your not competitive this year you can afford to be patient. Wait a month into the season after Malkin already has points racked and go back to these GM's and say "shoulda made that deal", then you will get a better return, with a season not started yet the other GM's will play a wait and see game until they know they either have a chance or need another superstar. Until then you will keep getting offers that seem like a slight loss or a wash.

I wouldn't be looking to move Malkin. However, if you must, do it after he lights it up this year. And if the deal isn't Tavares + +, dude can take a walk.

I backed off anyway. When the guy with Tavares and Weber asked for a 3rd round pick on top of Malkin and Barberio, I took that as a sign to walk away.I still have the offer out there for Stamkos and Carlson which I'll keep open until the 18th when I have to have my contracts in.
