I've never done a Hockey draft before so this is a big first for me. Id appreciate some feedback on how I did. I feel like my top end isnt the highest but im above average throughout. EDIT: 10 teams
Our format is: Starting Lineup: 2C, 2RW, 2LW, 4Def, 2Utility, 2 Goalie We have 5 bench spots and one spot for IR Scoring= 3 for Goals, 2 For assists, 1 extra for a powerplay point and 2 extra for a short handed goal. (no PIM points) Goalies get 5 for win, 3 extra for shutout, 0.2 per save and -point for a GA. My Lineup: Center: Tavares, Sharp LW: Ovechkin, Skinner RW:Gaborik, Hossa DEF:Edler, Green, Shattenkirk, Garrison (put Garrison on IR and likely putting in Eckman Larsonn off waivers to start) Utility: Pacioretty, Eriksson Goalie: Schnieder, Lehtonen Bench:Krejci, Cole, Hemsky, Granlund and Lindback as goalie. Id be glad to help out with any questions you have in return, drop a link or w/e. Thanks in advance guys. Last edited by TheBeaker; 01-13-2013 at 10:19 AM. |

In that case, I think your team looks fine. I don't think you'll have too much trouble competing. Hopefully Lehtonen doesn't run into injury trouble.

Any advice in terms of areas of strength or weakness i should address? Im thinking another C would be ideal probably using some LW depth to get one.

your team looks really solid except for the RW. Although they are strong, they seem to be injury prone.

I assume this is a H2H league. Daily or weekly starts?
Your core is solid but your bench looks a little thin. I would look to upgrade Hemsky and Granlund. For a weekly start league I would play your core and see if anything better comes along. For a daily start I would look into upgrading both.

Weekly starts, head to head points. I kinda like Hemsky, he's healthy finally and playing with a wealth of talent.
Granlund was just a sleeper. I could drop him for Michael Ryder, Derek Roy, Victor Hedman, there are a few others but I dunno, could wait. I guess. Thanks for the replies guys |

Don't get me wrong, I like Hemsky. When healthy he's a point a game player. Unfortunately he can't stay healthy. Plus the kids are starting to push him aside. Maybe Hemsky might be worth keeping. Maybe wait on him for a little.
I wouldn't rush with replacements though. Your core should be good enough to start the season. Just be on the lookout for someone who gets into the right situation, top line, top pp, increased ice time, etc.
