Skinny, not short. No way he is 190. Seen him many times, he's a twig. Wont surprise me if he's like Turris to start.

Never said he will bust. He'll underwhelm. Rob Schremp comment was facetious but I think he'll be like him but actually stay in the NHL.

Well, OHL.com has him at 192. NHL.com has him weighing in at 190, presumably from either the combine or the Isles' training camp last fall. I have seen him live (and close up) 4 times and he doesn't seem very small to me; he's firmly average in size.

From what I've seen at the World Juniors he seems to be very immature and therefore I don't think he'll stick with the Isles the entire season.

As an isles fan , I'd like to see Strome and Reinhart simply returned to their respective chl teams asap .
if they are a few bodys short of 23 by the end of camp just bring up one of the Swedes (Ullstrom/Sundstrom/Persson) |

Honestly, I don't think Strome is going to be a bust unless the Isles help that happen, which is very unlikely haha. I believe there are a number of elite prospects that are in the same boat as Strome, including Huberdeau, Schieffle, Grigerenko and Galy (there are others). What they share in common is that they are still kids, they have not physically matured into men. Scheiffle is 6" 3", yet he spent more time on his butt during the WJC than on his feet. Great heart, but guys much smaller than him were physically competing with him. Yakupov absoultely smoked him in the round robin game. Which brings us to Yak. And I'll include Granlund here as well. Despite being smaller players than those listed above, they are simply more physically and mentally mature than the others. Whether Yak and Granlund survive at the NHL level remains to be seen, it is a concern, but both these guys are more ready than those listed above. I think Strome is going to be a very decent NHLer, but that's likely 2 or 3 years away if all goes well.
