Tarasenko hands down. Could be a superstar and has the most experince. Granlund already had 2 concusions. Yakapov will struggle. He''s younger and on an inexperienced team. You can teach the natural skill this kid has.

After 2 games a Tarasenko is now a superstar. Love it. I'll still take Yakupov and enjoy the ride while you watch your "superstar" turn into a Hitchcockian casualty in St Louis. Tarasenko will miss a backcheck one night and be stapled to the bench for three games.

Yakupov and Tarasenko will both be successful in the NHL IMO, but for the next couple years I would take Tarasenko over Yakupov. Edit: I didn't see the post before you claiming he could be a superstar, so I guess your comment was fair enough. I still think that's giving Hitchcock a rough shake. He's one of the better coaches in the game. Also, seems like someone might be a little bias towards one of their own.

Really ?? Pumping your own tires after he has played two games .... Decisions like these in keeper leagues take years before you actually KNOW who was right. At the very least wait until the end of this season and then if Tarasenko is still the top scorer give yourself a pat on the back and hope that continues.

Hitchcock's reputation is not unfounded. He's a heck of a coach but when I want to try and find players who will produce POINTS, I don't go looking at Hitchcock run teams first. I could easily see the Blues winning the West so there is no argument there. But this is a fantasy hockey forum with a fantasy hockey question being asked. So while Tarasenko might win a Stanley CUp this year that does nothing to win a hockey pool if he ends up getting his ice time hacked when he only blocks 9 shots instead of 10 one game. Fantastic start for Tarasenko. All 2 games of it. Will he keep it up? Maybe, I mean he has the history of looking great. However, maybe we should all wait more than 2 games before looking to Tarasenko here to continue ripping up the scoring charts with Hitchcock slowly clapping while he does so. |

Too often stating hyperbole is a weakness of mine.
Hitchcock has never, in his entire career in the NHL, had a player do better than 84 points in an NHL season, and only had players even break the 80s a few times. So, until he leaves town most of the players on his roster will be 60 point guys, with a couple breaking into the 70s, and every couple years (at best) one guy will hit 80 points) Tarasenko, as a rookie, on a Hitchcock led team, would have to beat such crazy odds to do much in terms of his offensive production. I just don't like putting my money on guys in those types of situations. |

Granlund has had 2 concussions, so does that mean nobody should own him?? Well I would take him if someone just gave him to me.
Of the 3 guys, I would take Yakupov. He is going to be the leader in points out of these 3, my opinion anyway..
