I just pulled off a trade, tell me what you think:

Landeskog
Anderson

I gave up:
Brown
M. Koivu
Schneider

I figure I gave in goaltending but I have Howard and Lindback. Plus who knows how Schneider would do full-time. Luongo is also still around. Anderson is also a beast in saves.

With Backes and Landeskog I gained PIMs, goals, hits and blocks. Koivu also gets injured a lot.

I'm now looking to replace Doan and Girardi-

For Girardi I'm looking at Giordano or Schultz, though I don't know about his hits and blocks.

For Doan, I'm looking at O'Reilly to give me a 4th center.

as hard as giving up schneider is, i like this deal. both of your forwards are beasts in multicat leagues. and having saves as a category really improves andersons value too.

I think I like the Schneider side of the deal better. On top of Schneider I really like Koivu, I think he's going to have a fantastic year this year, and if Koivu is able to stay healthy for the duration of the year, he could be the best player in the deal. It isn't a keeper league so there's also no need to look at future values.

The return you got is very good though, and I feel like it could go either way as to who wins the trade when all is said and done, but for now I like what you had just a little bit better.

I really like this deal for you. You get 2 great multi-cat guys and Schneider isn't a proven guy yet. Well done.

Any ideas on what to do with Girardi and Doan?

Doan puts up 50 points, 50 PIMs, 200+ shots and 200+ hits.

Girardi gets 200+ hits and ~200 blocks.

I'm itching for a 4th center and a scorer. Hodgson and Tarasenko are out there but I don't know who to drop. I'd like to drop Doan but he fills out so many categories. I'd also like a 3rd defenseman. Other than that, I can't just drop Clarkson, can I?

Voracek? It looks like the Flyers want to put Briere with Giroux and Hartnell.

I don't suppose Hanzal is available? Not as much offense but he's been productive overseas (I think I read that) and perhaps will break out a bit. Plus he's solid in mulitple categories, including FOW which you need. If so, I'd consider dropping Clarkson for him. I'm not sure what to expect with Hodgson and Tarasenko so there's risk there offensively, and neither give you as much peripheral strength.

However, depends what other centres are available who could be better value.

I'd drop Girardi for Giordano. You'll lose a bit of hits/blocks but Giordano is solid as well (140 hits, 193 blocks in 10/11 - full season comparison) and will give you more offense.

I dropped Voracek for Tarasenko. The Flyers want to play Briere on the #1 line and, with Voracek not being a hitter or PIM producer, Tarasenko seems like a better option. Might have a slower start but I expect him to be better stats wise over the course of the season.

Giordano for Girardi is something I considered. I'll do that.

Hanzal is gone. Hodgson is centering the top line in Buffalo with Vanek and Pominville on his wings. That's why I'm considering picking him up, likely for Clarkson.
