Stepan and Richards will likely have one each of Nash and Gabby on his line because of play style differences, so it's not like Stepan will be playing with garbage. Even if he was stuck playing with the likes of Callahan and Kreider/Hagelin, I'd bet he'd still outproduce Berglund.

I like Berglund a bit more but would be happy if either hit 60pts consistently. Cheap contracts!

Stepan.
As long as he stays C2 and PP2, he'll still put up solid points. Berglund is no lock to be either of those. |

Give me Stepan as well.

I give the edge to Stepan here as he was used on the top PP last year. However, I don't know if Stepan keeps the top PP now that Nash is there, or if they use Callahan instead to play in front of the net. (Nash, Gaborik, Richards, Del Zotto are locks for top PP)
I'm interested to see what Berglund does with a guy like Tarasenko on his wing, that's the only reason I'm hanging on to him...

I like Berglund here. Player development is not always linear. He did regress last year, but he is still only 24. He scored 47 in his rookie year and scored 52 in his fourth year. The skill is there. Having Tarasenko and Jaden Schwartz on your wings wont hurt either. I'd also rather have Pietrangelo and Shattenkirk on the points than MDZ anyday of the week.
Stepan doesn't have a better shot at PP1 than Berglund. Quite the opposite I think #1C is up for grabs in StL.

left wing.
hitch doesn't want mac up the middle. he is too small to play center in the blues system. steen will likely end up centering the third line, though neither is an ideal solution... |
