I've been going through 24 the last couple of weeks, got 4 episodes left in season 2. Might want to give those a go HR.

On a side note, has there ever been another character in TV history that produces such schizophrenic reactions as Kim Bauer? So easy on the eyes, so deadly on a plot line. In season two Jack is trying to prevent the detonation of a nuke in LA, and he has less shit going on than Kim does. Un-freaking-real.

24 isn't for me. I gave it a shot way back and enjoyed the first half of the seasons but then it just got a little ridiculous.

How about Louie? I hear that is hilarious and I've never even heard the guy speak.

Super late to that party, but I've started on Lost a couple of weeks ago. Pretty addictive so far.

Also, for comedy, the first two seasons of Weeds are really great. Somewhat similar premise to Breaking Bad (somewhat), but done funny.

The show goes downhill after season 2 (I gave up after the first episode of season 4) but it doesn't matter cuz the first two seasons can be enjoyed independently of the rest.

It's not exactly a comedy. Louis CK's comedy is really dark and that shows through even further on the show. It's critically acclaimed but it wasn't for me personally. I can definitely see how some would enjoy it but I just found it a little too depressing when what I really wanted was pure comedy. His stand up is really fantastic though.

Kim Bauer is one of the single worst characters on a TV show ever. She will continue to torment you if you stick it out with 24. It's really a shame too because Elisha Cuthbert is actually a good actress on top of being an absolute bombshell. She's just a terribly crafted character.

I'm fully aware of how much her character will drive you over the edge. I've watched the first 5 seasons multiple times. You hit it on the head though, Elisha is smoking hot and a feast for the eyes, but at the same time you can't help wondering which nimrod on the writing staff was responsible for her character.

Season two for example, in the space of three hours, she stages a car wreck to escape police custody, gets caught in an animal trap, stalked by a mountain lion, rescued from that by a hunter who later tries to kidnap her. She talks her way out of that, and is then taken hostage in convenience store holdup.

And that's on top of being on the run from the law for kidnapping the child she is an Au pair for, being attacked by the dad, who's an child abuser and wife beater. Breaking the kid out of the hospital with the help of her boyfriend who then steals the father's car, only to get stopped by the police, who find the murdered wife's body stuffed in the trunk.

Hell Jack was trying to find a nuclear bomb in LA and didn't even have that much shit to deal with.
