Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Starring yours truly. Greatest tv show ever!

I started watching NCIS a couple of months ago. I am up to season 7 now. I really like it and its a show your wife will sit down and watch with you if you are into that sort of thing.

I've heard quite a few criticisms about season 5 with regard to how David Simon may have gotten a bit too personal with the regard to his own experiences as a journalist and also about how unreal some of the elements of the season were. Personally, I enjoyed it and there is simply no topping that ending montage.

Yes. We'll avoid spoilers but I'd say the show, as "real" as it sometimes feel, does have several elements over the various seasons that really require you to exercise suspended disbelief. Season 5 stretches that elastic too far, IMO.

Still, clearly one of the best shows ever. So many classic characters.

The Wire. I didn't like Season 2 the first time I watched it, mostly because it is so different from Season 1, and I didn't expect that.

I'd rank the seasons:

3
4
1
2
5

And that being said, Season 5 was amazing. They are all so unique in terms of the scope and the characters. Nick Sobotka was one of my favorite characters.

If you have never seen Entourage, I highly recommend that.

Another show I found quite funny and entertaining, also from HBO was a show called Hung.

I basically agree, except that season 4 is definitely on top IMO. One of the best things I've ever seen on TV.

when you watch the wire, you look at the forest, not the trees.
sure there are 5 seasons, but the vision was as one whole, not 5 parts.

I wouldn't give up on OZ yet. It gets a lot better as the series goes along. Really underrated show and kind of got the ball rolling for a lot of the series we are seeing today.

Watch Justified. I watched all of the first two seasons (available on Netflix) in the span on a week or so. Very addictive show.
