Brooks Laich will be out for a few weeks due to a groin injury. He is not on the Caps roster at this time to make room on the salary cap, but can be activated as soon as he is ready to return.

Tom Poti will make his return to play after being out over 2 years with ongoing groin injuries. He was sent to the Hershey Bears for a conditioning stint and is expected to start tonight for the Caps. Prior to injury Poti averaged 22-23 minutes per game.
