Default Weber for Blake??

Guy in my keeper league is a Leaf fan, and has offered me Weber for J. blake.
Our salary cap is 25.00... Blake is .60 and Weber is .40...
D categories are G/ASST/Pms/+ -
We need 6 D.... I have Rafalski at $2.70..Schneider at $3.00 and Ehrhoff at $1.10...
Should I do the deal??

Do it for sure. Blake had a carreer year and D spots are hard to fill with so few top d-men floating around.

Go ahead...I\'m pretty sure that there is a player similar to Blake available in your pool. Weber is a real deal, and with Timmonen gone, he\'s gold.

Weber is just starting to really come into \'his own\'. He is going to be a star. I wouldn\'t be surprised if he closed in on 50 points this year, regardless of the salary dump. His role is going to be bigger. He will be the pp quarterback in Nashville/Kansas City/Hamilton.

I don\'t think Blake will do reach his 69 points of last year.

I would do it.

I\'d take Weber over J.Blake when you have to have a minimum number of defencemen. Especially at his price. With Timonen gone, Weber should rack up some decent numbers. Blake will not do too badly with the Leafs, but a scoring forward is always easier to replace than a scoring defenceman.

I like Blake and think he\'ll do well with Sundin (Good move by Toronto).
However if a 8 year pro, 33 year old, pops off 40 goals for the first time...it gets him on my trade list.
Make the deal for Weber - you need D and can find a 70 pt FWD elsewhere.

I agree, take the deal. Replacing Blake will be much easier than replacing a Dman of Weber\'s caliber

With Blake coming off a career year, I might take it a step further and see if you can squeeze out a pick as well
