In a massive three-way deal, Shin Shoo Choo is finally out of Cleveland & will now be playing in Cincy. The Reds got rid of Stubbs and get Choo from Cleveland, along with top prospect Trevor Bauer from the D-backs. Arizona's cornerstone on this deal was Lars Anderson. Very interesting, Mista Bond.

I think it is the rookie SS Az acquired that was their make or break player in the deal. Gregorius is going to have to be the shortstop for the next decade for this to pan out for them. Looks to me like they got the short end of the deal as it looks right now...

Wow....wasn't Bauer supposed to be unreal? Or did this Skaggs guy surpass him on the depth chart?

Az got screwed. even if Bauer fell out of favor in Az, it is like the paid to get rid of him. This SS better save a ton of runs with plays like this 1

I don't understand why they gave up on Bauer so quickly, he still has a ton of upside and could be an ace for Cleveland in the future. He's cocky, but most young phenom's are, let him grow and mature as a player and a person. The Reds basically get a full year of Choo and will give him a qualifying offer, which means they will receive a first round pick from whichever team signs him in free agency. Billy Hamilton is expected to take over centre field after that.

Stubbs is talented, but has a lot of wholes in his game he needs to work on before he can be a productive player. He strikes out way too much, but the tools are there and he will be an immediate upgrade in centre field for Cleveland. The Diamondbacks walk out of this deal with Didi Gregorius, Lars Anderson and Tony Sipp. Gregorius and Anderson are talented, but very raw as well.

To me, this is Arizona panicking and overpaying to acquire a shortstop which they have been seeking for some time.
