My friends at work got me to watch it. I thought it was a cool premise before I watched and had considered it...

Watched both episodes and I must say I like it. Kevin Bacon and some other very good characters, this show can go far. I will be a avid watcher.

Of course, no way to know if this is a top show so far into a 2 episode 1st season. I would recommend it to someone who is into violence.

The first episode was dreadful. In a bad way. I probably hyped myself up about it too much and got too wrapped up in the whole Kevin Bacon aspect. It's actually from the writer of the Scream series, which means we are in for a whole lot of generic slasher tropes and general mindless violence. I can see this being a shallow thrill rather than the deeper drama I was hoping for. That said, I'm only one episode in.

not sure why you thought it was dreadful? I thought the episode was a good setup for the premise of the show.

It just failed to meet expectations on all fronts. It just doesn't seem like it's going to be a smart show. For instance, when establishing that Kevin Bacon's character is someone that is difficult to work with they literally had a character say, "I hear you don't play well with others." What am I two years old? You really have to spell it out for me? You couldn't do a little creative writing and show that to me?

The whole episode just felt flat like everything was a cardboard cut out. It's bad enough that seemingly every character has to fit into some neat little pre-designed trope but then they have to spell it out for us. Just seems to me like they are catering to an audience that doesn't want to have to think too much. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just didn't meet my expectations.

And now that I know who the writer is my expectations have been sufficiently lowered. I bet I enjoy the next few episodes as I've put myself into more of a Walking Dead, I'm here to watch gore played out by mostly the same characters each week than to watch a real psychological thriller that's built more around great writing than great special effects.

So it's really just a different show than what I was hoping for. Could be a success but I know it'll never be what I hoped.

Just finished Firefly....such a shame it's only 14 episodes, and it just kind of......ends since I don't think the cancellation was expected. But it was a really cool show, now I need to track down Serenity.

I might make a trip to the video store soon here to pick up season 1 of Game of Thrones since it isn't on Netflix....I've really been wanting to see that show for a long time.

Watched the second episode. Seemed like an improvement over the pilot.

I should also add that I've loved the scoring of the episodes so far, real good tunes. Again, this being the writer for the Scream movies I'm not at all surprised by this. The Scream movies always had excellent soundtracks.

I'm looking forward to see if they can continue to make improvements.

I don't know if its been mentioned (I may have) but Being Human (US version) is a show to check out - season 3 started recently. Really interesting and funny, and pretty dark at times as well. A vampire and a werewolf trying to get by in the real world.

(Haven't seen the UK version it is adapted from)

I agree, I like the soundtrack a lot, heard some deftones in there and some other good stuff that sets a good tone.

I was thinking more about what you were saying about the "doesn't work well with others" bit they did in the show. I agree it made it a bit campy, BUT, I don't think they wanted to waste a story arc on his inability to work well with others and his drinking problem. It would take the spotlight off the real bright points of the show. I think those are obviously, the serial killer, his relationship to Bacon and his ex wife and the shear amazement of serial killer followers and the broken people that would even consider following someone like him.
