I like Bacon too. Every time I see him though, I immediately think of Bernie Madoff. I wonder "poor guy, suckered in, could happen to anyone I guess."

Love this thread. Bringing back a lot of fun TV memories. Also makes me realize how much TV I've watched.

One show that popped in my head for a Drama that wasn't mentioned anywhere in here was Freaks and Geeks. I know it only lasted one season and seemed like it was geared towards teenagers but it was amazing TV. There hasn't been a better, more true to life high school drama ever.

That show began the careers of many popular actors today like Seth Rogan, Jason Segal, and James Franco. Judd Apatow executive produced the whole series on top of writing and directing a ton of episodes.

Great TV and I'd recommend it to anyone. Takes you back to high school, in the good and bad ways.

Other than that, shows I've seen mentioned here that I thoroughly enjoyed are:

24, Sopranos, The Wire, Game of Thrones, Homeland, Boardwalk Empire, The Walking Dead, X-Files, Heroes and many more.

Liking Banshee so far although I wonder how long this should can last, really. The sex scenes were....umm....well, not what I was expecting. Guess I should have figured since it is on skinemax lol.

Stopped watching 4400 after that terrible 1st episode of season 3. Wife still watches it for some reason though...I just cant.

Just stumbled upon this thread. I don't run on network scheds either, much preferable to watch at will. I'll judge on what has captivated me the most:

10. Star Trek Voyager (not a true trekkie, but really enjoyed it)

Enjoyed the first 2 seasons of 24 but not enough to rank. Liked Heros too, but one quality season wasn't enough. I also like The League but a little too shallow to make the list.

On tap: My buddy is going to kill me if I don't get into Justified. Same for Boardwalk Empire. Firefly coming soon. Saw barely a snipet of The Wire in a hotel room years ago and never gave it a chance - seemed too dreary. Definitely need to give that a re-go.
