Plus, there's the first reaction test. When you hear a goalie's name, can you immediately say he was amazing. With Hasek, Brodeur, Roy - it's a no brainer. With Cujo, you kind of have to say "well, hmmmmmm......." That is telling.

There's very little randomness involved when you're looking at a 940 game career. Maybe a reduced total due to his team (if he'd played for the Devils his whole career he obviously would have had a lot more shutouts) but it's not random variance.
