I'm really tired of reading the same recycled lockout talk and just want to talk fantasy hockey.

We had two teams leave our league this past year (one by choice, one by the league's choice). So we have two new owner's coming in for whenever the next season starts. The first order of business once a CBA is signed is to hold an expansion draft between the two new teams to fill out their eight keepers prior to the regular league draft. The players available in the expansion draft are all the player's from the rosters of the two exiting teams plus all the players not kept by the returning teams.

Another owner and I had a mock draft and here are the rosters we drafted:

Team A:

I have to agree with the others, Team A for me.

I prefer Team A... but not by a lot.

Team B grabbed Tuukka Rask... and I see him as the best player selected.
Did he go #1 overall?

If there are only two goalies to draft from, Rask is a huge upgrade over Smith.
I know Smith had some solid seasons... but I'm not 100% sold on him as a long-term keep 1G guy. I'd much prefer Rask.

The 5.5pts for wins is pretty huge.
In future years, I can see Rask winning 40+ games and maybe Smith wins 30.
That's 55pts right there... the equivalent of about 18 goals.

Did Team A get 18 goals more than Team B? Probably... but not by a TON.

Team A... by a little. (not a lot).

Ovechkin went #1. Rask was picked 3rd. It was a Snake draft, so Team A took Ovechkin, then Team B took Staal and Rask.
