I certainly admit that in my younger wilder days there were times when I drove and I should not have been. Am I proud of it, no, but it is a fact. Fortunately, like SF I was more lucky than smart and was never in an accident or hurt anyone.

I think times and perception have changed a great deal (for the better) than when I was a youngster. Now at almost 50 I look back and shake my head at many of the foolish things I did.

Check the numbers, the amount of DEATHS caused by drunk drivers every year is just way too high in this day and age. We should be more enlightened than this. In no way am I down playing drinking and driving , in no way do I take offense at being called a drunk driver , I was , murderer , potentionally and lucky not to be.
All I was trying to say is we are so quick to jump on someone who screws up , yet we all do , so just stop and put yourself in that persons' shoes for a moment and try to see their side.
