Well fellas , I agree drunk driving is an idiotic move , one that I've made many times in my life , mostly before my 30s.
I doubt though that many of you can honestly say you've never drank and drove , there may be a few but , for the most part I'd suggest that most people have done it.
Of those many were likely not drunk but , I'd wager many were.
So this idiot lost his license in 1988 for impaired and dangerous driving , funny thing is I was far from drunk but , determined not to get caught at any price.Thank God/luck that
I was caught and thank God/luck that I never killed anyone.
Did I drink and drive after this event , sadly yes , not often but , once more was once more too often.
I'm now 50 and do my best to avoid putting myself in any situation where alcohol and driving are concerned.
My point , we all f#*k up!
We learn from are mistakes!
Some learn better/quicker than others!
Some never learn!
Some don't care!
Some get lucky , thank God!

Have you ever noticed the number of cars in the parking lot at a busy bar/pub/restaurant that serves alcohol never seems to have very many cars in it at the end of the night. When inside said bar/pub/restaurant, pay attention to the number of non-drinkers. It's quite an eye opener. That's just my own observations from many years of going out.

We have come a long ways from essentially accepting drinking and driving (as long as no one got hurt, it seemed everything was okay), but even with the punishments being fairly severe, people STILL make those bad choices...possibly BECAUSE THEY HAVE HAD TOO MUCH TO DRINK!?

The truth is, even one drink and you shouldn't drive, your judgement/reflexes are impaired to a certain degree.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen, obviously, but "many of you"? He said that most people have driven drunk. That's beyond silly.
