1 year league = no way. Saad is essentially a throw in here and Giroux does not match both Getz and Hossa. But ya, if he'd swap out Giroux for Crosby or Stamkos, go for it i think.

I agree with the general consensus. There simply isn't enough separation between these guys in terms of point output to do a two-for-one for Giroux, and your league is very point-oriented. It essentially is a two-for-one, since there is no guarantee Saad even makes the Blackhawks full-time, let alone in a top-six role. I would want to upgrade Saad to a player who is good for 50 points who excels in one of your categories, say +/- or one of the special teams stats. I would also want that player to have a history of durability.

What's on the waiver wire? If there are some 50 pointers on the WW, this might be a win for you. IMO, these are the types of trades that win leagues.

So, what's on the WW? What does your team look like?

At first glance, I would say this isn't worth it. If this is a just a starting offer on his part you may be able to get something out of it.

I'm a huge fan of Giroux, he's better than both Hossa and Getzlaf but an unproven prospect like Saad in a one-year league is the deal breaker. Why does someone own Saad in a one-year league that only 12 teams? Seems kind of strange to me.

I see its only a 12-team league, any good players on the wire? Could be a good trade if you can drop Saad for the right player.

He rejected and countered with this deal which I think is getting closer

Giroux, Ryan Orielly, Burrows for Getz, Hossa, and Lupal
