Default Offered B Schenn for Duchene.

He said that he might throw in a mid round pick or a depth D like Franson. Is this worth it?

My Duchene
For
His B.Schenn and either a mid rd pick or Franson

I'd hold onto Duchene. Giroux has the top line C job locked down in Philly and Duchene is a key challenger for that same job in Colorado.

Duchene has also proven what he can do at the NHL level.

No way, Duchene's upside alone is far better than Schenn's.

I'd pass.

Schenn is designated as a C, correct? Or does he have dual eligibility in your setup? I thought he had played some games last season on the wing...

Your C are loaded and so swapping Duchene for Schenn in that context probably is fine, but Schenn is behind Giroux and Briere right now at C whereas Duchene is most likely the top C on Colorado and thus will get more TOI EV and PP.

They are the same age, but Duchene already has 50+ and 60+ pt seasons on his resume, Schenn has yet to really prove he can produce consistently at this level...

I'd stick with Duchene

We base our positions on the hockey news yearbook (depth chart) and Schenn is a C. The other guy I am potentially trading with has expressed serious interest in Sharp. The players of interest that he has to me are Schenn, Couterier, Phaneuf, Skinner and Lucic. Anything there? Sharp is pretty valuable in our league settings with 130 pool points last year. Good enough for 10 among forwards with Malkin being the top guy with 150.

I wouldn't even consider swapping Duchene for B.Schenn in your format.

Duchene is a clear winner here IMO.

It would take a lot more for me to trade Duchene.
