Cool Hall or Eriksson

Team in signature. Scoring: G, A, +/-, PPP, SOG, PIM
Eriksson is so steady but I'm leaning towards the scoring potential in Edmonton nad making a play for Hall.
All thoughts appreciated.

The Only area Erikson will top Hall is +-. And even there, it depends on how well Edm. comes together. Dallas has a shortage at C and a lot of wingers who can score. Hall is about to start playing in the AHL, so whenever there is a season, Hall, Nuge, and Eberle will already have chemistry going. I think if he stays healthy hall will get the pro-rated equivilent of 70-75 pts with about 35 goals. Plus if there is no season, I assume like most pools you'll carry over a full roster next year, by then there would be no conversation.

Hall ainec. Hall has a slight edge right now based on goal production, and with future upside factore in Hall takes the cake by a wide margin.

Taylor Hall...has upside and will be around where Eriksson is production wise...with better SOG and PIM. Easy.

Don't forget PPP. That Edmonton PP should be even more beastly this season with the additions of Schultz and Yakupov, and Hall had 21 PPP last season in only 61 games played.

Seems like Hall could easily push 30+ in a full, healthy season.

i certainly can't hate on Eriksson, the man is productive in your format and most others for that matter, but Hall will overtake him soon. Very soon.

I'd take Hall over Eriksson.

However I do have question whether it makes sense for you since you already have RNH, Eberle and Yakupov. Does it really make sense to own all 4 of Oilers' young studs? You can only start 7 forwards at once so you'd rely basically on one team. Sure you could do a lot worse than own these four Oilers' kids but I wouldn't want to be so dependent on one team's performance.

There's that point and the fact that a few of these guys (RNH and Hall) though have high upside, are potentially more at risk for injuries ... Sometimes it's better to have a reliable 70 pt guy who is durable (missed 3 games over last 3 seasons).

I would compare it to Vick vs Matt Ryan. One guy can both win and lose you the league.

PPG production doesn't help if you average 60 games played. See Spezza and Gaborik as examples. (I did trade for Spezza last year to win my league)

Potential comparison #1 overall picks with similar injury histories are EJ (still waiting to develop), DiPietro (a mess), and Lindros (dominant for 6-7 seasons, but produced double Halls points in first 2 injury prone seasons).
