In a 16 team dynasty league with following stats :

I am in some trade talks(Giving a low guy for a pick and a prospect), and it seems I can pick 1 of following prospects. How will you rate them and who will you pick ?

Casey Cizikas (NYI)
Calvin DeHaan (NYI)
Maxim Goncharov (PHX)
Henrik Karlsson (CGY)

Without knowing what your situation involves regarding prospects (how long can you keep them in the minors, who you already own, etc) I prefer Cizikas or Karlsson from that list. Karlsson is already contributing (limited) in the NHL already and Cizikas isnt far from doing the same. Karlsson wont play much behind Kipper, and its tough to say if he is really the future for them in nets or not. I like Cizikas but I dont see him as much more then a 3rd liner.

With a little more info on your current prospects and team needs, it would be easier to give a more accurate response but this is who I prefer from your list.

if your grasping for a low end prospect i think you should go for the goalie. there is a lot more chance that a goalie can surprise imo. just look at how many hyped goalies never pan out and vice versa compared to skaters. also i feel goalies are way more controlled by opportunity/trades/injuries.

De Haan has the most potential out of the players you listed. Whether he reaches it is another story. Not too interested in the other guys, although Cizikias should be a solid 3rd liner at worst for NYI long-term.

Karlsson won't be in NHL for much longer. May not even get to play a single game anymore. Irving or Ramo should replace him in Calgary next year and I doubt he'll get a job elsewhere in the league.

I'd go with DeHaan. He's fragile but has the highest upside. Cizikas will be a good player too but has limited upside.

I doubt Goncharov ever becomes anything in NHL. I'd avoid him.
