KEEP #87. He can reach 85 points+ in his sleep. Like others have said, the long layoff will have done him wonders. He's chomping at the bit to get back and lay a smack on all others contending for the scoring title. I wouldn't trade him for Stammer, Giroux or Malkin straight up. Be thankful you own the best player in the NHL/planet and reep the rewards. Dont' trade Sid for the sake of trading......

I think I would do that deal in your league - definitely upgrading a keeper. Careful not to queer the deal by asking for too much - you get to promote one of your young guys and in a year or two I think you win this deal big time.

For Giroux? Wow, I would take that deal in a heartbeat....having Crosby and Giroux as the your top two options would be great!

Here's my take on dealing Crosby, and some guys have touched on it here and there in the comments above. I owned Crosby, and was loving every minute of it, even if he only played for a few weeks (concussions) during my ownership. I made probably the toughest call of my keeper league career in trading him after his second concussion. I was happy with what I got back for him (Vanek, Kopitar, Lucic and Adam Larsson) but at the same time, having someone like him on your team, who is quite literally a one-man point producing machine, makes watching Penguins games so much fun. Obviously if you're gonna do it, make sure you get back plenty in return, but be weary that you'll go through Crosby withdrawal.
