Yep OBP was .313 to .282.

I'm kind of feeling underwhelmed now as we'll....

So any opinions who lands in the hot seat as the new Manager for the Jays?

Sandy Alomar Jr maybe?

He's their top choice from what I've heard and been told.

They're also interested in DeMarlo Hale and Brad Ausmus.

I almost think I would rather they choose someone with some actual Managerial experience. With a young core, they really need someone in there that has some sound experience. I am not familiar with Hale but I know Ausmus and Alomar arent deep with experience at the Manager level. Both I am sure are solid baseball minds, but not extremely experienced. Especially Ausmus.

I really didnt like Farrell so Im happy he left. I just hope the Blue Jays bring a guy who has lots of managing exp at the MLB level.

One things for sure, they'll be doing much more due diligence when making their choice for the next manager of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Remember that a wide majority of managers are former catchers and both Alomar Jr. and Ausmus are no exception.

Hale was a first baseman and outfielder in his playing days.

I didnt dislike Farrell, but in hindsight, he really didnt do anything special during his time as Manager. Granted his team this past year was basically a minor league club due to all the injuries they went through. The record easily shows that. As a former pitching coach, he didnt do Ricky Romero any favors either. Hopefully the new Manager can get him back on track.

I totally agree with you that they really should hire someone with some experience. Even Wakamatsu wouldnt be a bad choice. At least he has "some" managerial experience and knows the players. It would be a smooth transition.

Seriously, to me the most important thing is they retain Butterfield. Like that would be priority #1 for me. Because as mentioned at least Wakamatsu has managerial experience so he could always step in as a last resort.

One does not simply replace a Brian Butterfield.

If Anthopoulos isn't as aggressive as he says he's going to be in the off-season, he could lose his job too.

If I was a Jays fan, I would want some big changes made to this team. Keep guys like Bautista, Rasmus, Edwin, Lawrie and one of Arencibia or D'Arnaud. Then be willing to talk about prospects in trades, you have one of the best farm systems in baseball. No prospect is a guarantee, be willing to trade them.

Shore up your rotation and give this club a chance to compete.

If he can do that, I like their chances.
