![]() What player shouldn't I keep? Meszaros is a steady 25 Pts / H+BS Jared Cowen or Ryan Murphy? Will Cowen finally play with Karlsson on the PP? Will Murphy make the team (without Training Camp) ?

Drop Meszaros. He's out all year so he won't help you anymore this year than Murphy will. Long-term I'd take Murphy's upside over Meszaros. With all the talent you already have on your D, I think you can easily keep the one with higher upside.
Cowen is an easy keeper amongst these three guys. He can do all Meszaros can with higher upside while being much younger.

Wow, haven't read yet that Meszaros is out indefinitely. Just did.
Thought he'll be ready by the start of the new season. Easy choice now. Sorry for bothering you guys.

Cowen shows promise in being solid in the extended CATS, more so than in points. He had one very fine season in Junior, points-wise. Should he become a points guy, I suspect it will take a long period of time. That he'll steadily and quietly grow into this role. No one will question that he is going to be very important to Ottawa on the 90' closest to his own net! His upside is very hard to determine because of this.
Meszaros is ideally a full ice type. Reasonable points, steady in all zones, but probably not the best at anything on a solid compliment of six D-men. Should be evolve to have more impact, it is most likely to happen in the offensive zone. Ellis is something you have to hang onto, for the abstract upper window. He's the other bookend for Cowen. The 90' closest to the opposing goaltender are the feet inwhich he will undoubtedly thrive. You'll hear talk with him in regard to needing to be stronger, because he's not overly big. As far as prospects are concerned, he's among the top two or three as far as who will become a PP QB. Suter leaving town is awesome. I won't be surprised when collects 30 points this year. Enthusiasm would be greater if he had played just a few less games last year, and was eligible for the Calder Trophy. Then we would have read a bunch more stories about him. Not many young D-men get 50+ point potential written beside their name. He's clearly one of these. If he's the real deal, he makes the team. Larsson is an abstract. He may evolve slowly. Many elements he brings are awesome. I'd be happy if he broke 25 points this coming year. He is so young, that he could adjust dramatically in a single season. New Jersey remains offensively suspect. The PP with Kovy should be good. Zidlicky often gets injured. With Kovy often manning a point on the PP (will he this year?) sometimes coaches can decide they prefer having a proper D-man on the other point, so that there is a stabilizing defensive presence on the ice. This kid may never break 30 points in a season. This kid may evolve into a dominant full ice personality that breaks 50 points regularly. (it was interesting how significantly he was usurped by Rundblad in the SEL two years ago - in an offensive sense - 50 points to 9)
