I was looking at it more from a standpoint of PP toi/game, and also the "general opportunity" factor; Yandle is more proven and will probably get more looks in better situations. I understand OEL's role and opportunities were increasing toward the end of last season - playoffs - but I still see him as a second fiddle to Yandle.

As for Fowler, Souray is not going to cut into his opportunities. At all. To suggest that is honestly a bit misleading since Souray is clearly being brought in as a complimentary player, not a PP QB. I would look to Souray's presence as a boon to Fowler, if anything.

It's impossible to make a bad decision between these two D-men, but I would prefer Fowler this coming season.

Fowler is an offensive D man and was drafted to fulfil that role. There is room for 2 people on PP#1 and it will be Souray and Fowler. The whole Anaheim Ducks team had a down year, but there is no doubting the correlation between PPTOI and fantasy output. Furthermore, his shooting% of 4% has to regress to the mean at some point soon.
