Fowler for the one-year setting.

Don't forget context here, guys. OEL is a stud, sure. But what is his ceiling this season behind Yandle? not to mention the defensive system Dave Tippett so ingenuously employs in the desert.

Fowler has serious offensive skills, and is in a much better scenario (pp#1 and more offensively gifted forwards to set up) in the short term.

Fowler for me without a doubt.

I still don't understand how Yandle hurts OEL at all since they are partners on the point, but in any event Fowler has some much better finishers up front to help pad the points. They can't all suck that much two straight seasons.

Tough call. I think both could/should hit close to 40pts this year. Fowler had a bit of a stinker sophmore season (then again, a lot of guys in Anaheim had off-years) but dont let that scare you away.

I am going to go with Fowler. I think the Ducks turn their PP around and a lot of that comes from the back end. I believe the addition of Souray helps stabilize the PP, increasing the points for all the prime time players there.

My thoughts exactly.

If I had to choose I would take Fowler as he saw significant more PPTOI last season. (3:40 compared to 2:04).

Points only?

Fowler for this year only, but only by a hair... Then OEL takes over.

It better be for just points only or Fowler's +/- will just kill ya...

Right, and with all of that PP time in a full 82 game season he still only managed 29 points. So what happens when his PP time is reduced this season? What if Souray clicks with the #1 PP unit? What if Fowler is asked to actually play defense this year? Doesn't play full 82 games? His point scoring opportunities have nowhere to go but down, so his actual skill level needs a huge boost in order to reach 40 points. I'd rather have OEL.
