I just saw on That's Hockey that Max Pac hurt his elbow and has returned from Switzerland. Will try to see if there is any more info but wondering if anyone has heard more?

Pacioretty was regularly scratched because of a combination of league rules limiting foreign players and his own mediocre play.

He was playing for a team from a small town in the middle of nowhere in what is basically an outdoor rink.

I think those factors explain why he's back more than anything else.

I agree - the initial coverage on That's Hockey was pretty cursory (only mentioned the injury and his return). These other factors certainly seem to be the driving force behind his return.
