I realize (by production cost), the two set locations are probably great... but I'm just done with them in that prison.
It reminded me of when they were on the farm (set) for just way too long.

My wish list:
1) Something needs to force them out of that prison within 2-3 episodes.
2) Get rid of the "Lori ghost". That was just dumb.
3) Find a way to introduce some captivating characters. Seriously, the show simply needs to cast some better characters.

Agreed and you can clearly see that 1 is definitely happening although not until next season will they actually be elsewhere.

I don't know what's going on with 2 but personally I love it. Crazy Rick is hilarious because it's probably the most realistic thing we've seen so far. Of course someone is having a psychological break, this is a stressful situation!

We definitely haven't seen the last of Tyrese, not that he will necessarily be a captivating character but he's new. One thing I'm sure we can agree on is that the writers of this show simply do not care much for developing good characters. There are some that I like but for the most part every new character they have brought in has been huge flops so I wouldn't be optimistic here. I just like new characters for the zombie fodder at this point.

Those guys are just peasants compared to super villain Governor. Dude is like a honeybadger at this point. Did you see him in the fire fight?

Super villain indeed. I think he's been awesome so far, especially when the only real "bad guy" that isn't a zombie so far has been Shane. I hope the Governor continues to slowly lose his mind because I'd love to see some of the things I've heard about in the comics.

One ongoing concern that I have for this show that seems to be growing each episode, is that it is getting to a point for me where the zombies are borderline not scary anymore. It's a tough line that the producers of the show have to walk now; you can't have main characters dying every episode. That being said, is there much risk from the zombies anymore? In a car that is stuck in the mud and surrounded by walkers? No problem... You want to get a picture out of a restaurant which is filled with biters? No problem... What, you're duct taped to a chair with a hungry walker in the room with you? No problem...

I am not really sure what they can do about it, but a lot of this seems to be the change in attitude by the characters of the show. At the beginning of the series, everyone was terrified of the zombies. One walker was a huge threat. Carl was never allowed to do anything alone. Now, characters have conversations while the walkers slowly shamble towards them. The humans kill the zombies with such nonchalant ease now that it just doesn't seem like there is much of a risk anymore. Yes, Carl is a tough kid, but he is 10 for Christ's sake. How can anybody allow him to run off on his own, or clear a room in an unfamiliar house by himself?

I don't know... Maybe I am being too nitpicky here?

Yes you are. I think the show has gone to great lengths to show that after a long time of constantly facing zombie threats the crew has gotten pretty used to their presence and have also become experts at neutralizing them. Hence the systematic clearing of the prison. At that point they established that the zombies were no longer going to be the main threat and that's a good thing because there's only so much a lifeless brain-craving automaton can offer as a villain beyond, "there's a ****ing billion of me." No, the other humans are the real threats now.

Yes, there will always be red shirts cast for the specific purpose of reminding us that zombies are still technically a threat, which is why the world is still so damned miserable but it's people that will always be interesting and so it's people that need to be the main threats now.

Really, I just think that you are disappointed that there wasn't a fun new creative zombie kill this week. And so am I but again, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! It actually happened this week! For real! Michonne can do more than scowl! I never knew!

Agree. The comic also emphasizes the humans to be the real issue... it is a situation caused by lack of resources. Society is in shambles and this is life int he cruel cruel world. For those of us who have taken political science/philosophy... remember we enter into a "contract/society" with eachother to act in agood way to avoid this mess. So that we may life in a secure and happy manner with minimal risk.

The lack of fear for the zombies becomes an issue in the comic often... drop your gaurd... boom. Someone dies... don't count the boring zombies out!

True. Losing an eye would probably make a bad seed worse. lol... They do need to spice things up a bit. Maybe give the Governor a Slick Rick eye patch:
