I would like to look at the best 3 guys who will eventually work their way to starter, either on their current team or on a new team??

Well let's take a look at the legitimate options:

Loungo, Bernier, Fasth, Bachman, Griess, Irving, Harding, Scrivens, Bobrovsky, Gustavsson, maybe Frazee and Poulin.

My top 3 would be Loungo, Bernier and Harding in that order. I would put a close watch on Scrivens, Bobber and Gus.

I think Shoeless listed all the legit backups who will eventually be #1s other than Khudobin, Bishop and Desjardins. However, none of those guys would be Top 3. I agree with his top 3 picks but would rank the 3 I mentioned significantly higher than some of the other guys on his list.

This thread needs more Tomas Vokoun.

Right now top-3 backups would be Luongo, Vokoun and Harding. Of those Luongo and Harding will be starters sooner than later - Luongo on a new team and Harding with the Wild. Bernier should get out of Quick's shadow at some point too and become starter somewhere.

And you are right on Vokoun, too old for me going forward. Yes a good backup but not someone I see taking over the starting role.. I also believe Bobrovsky is already the starter in Columbus..
