Marshall meets Lily in college and they have one or two rough spots, but they're together a vast majority of the time. Ted is always searching for the perfect relationship, but he's still interested in Robin. Robin is a Canadian girl that they meet at some point (can't remember where).

That's pretty much it, the first five seasons are enjoyable, then they just stretch it way too much IMO.

The reason the show is called How I Met Your Mother is because Ted is supposed to meet his wife at some point and Bob Saget is narrating the story to his two kids (supposed to be Ted as a father).

Its about his pursuit of who will be his wife.
i think he means homeland. good synopsis though

Honestly though, if I had to recommend someone start watching a show it wouldn't be HIMYM. You get hooked and all they do is tease, tease, tease.

My buddy is still watching it, but I had enough trouble watching last season as is.

I enjoy good shows, like Criminal Minds, where the teasers are minimal and the episodes are great.

See, I enjoy shows like Criminal Minds, but they don't suck me in - ie: I can watch the occasional episode and like it but I don't feel a need to watch the whole series in order or anything. Same goes for CSI, Simpsons, South Park, etc.

How I Met Your Mother is the Dragon Ball Z of sitcoms.

Guess I'll find out in another bunch of episodes.
Homeland in a nutshell is about Damien Lewis who plays a marine who was captured in Iraq and held as a POW but was presumed dead by the US government. After eight years as a prisoner he is found during a raid and brought home to much fan fare. Claire Danes plays a bi-polar CIA agent who thinks that the POW was actually turned in Iraq and is now a terrorist. She is the only one who believes this so she is forced to take matters into her own hands.

The showrunners for Homeland also worked on the show 24 if that piques your interest at all.

Maybe it's because I haven't watched HIMYM since the beginning, but I still find it really enjoyable. I catch the episodes as they come on my DVR from 4 different channels so it's not always in order, and there are still some episodes I haven't seen, but for the most part I'm caught up and I saw the last few episodes of season 7.

Ya it's dragged out but whatever, I don't feel like the story has been filler or anything there's still story to tell so some of the core stuff gets put on the burner. It's really become one of my favorite shows.

As to Lost.....it leaves a lot of questions unanswered which was a little annoying and kinda felt like sloppy writing, but I still very much enjoyed the series and I didn't mind the ending for what it is.

Does Canada even have a second TV station to broadcast things other than a hockey game?
