With that said, I'm a gambler, and if Mike Green was on the list I'd take him over any of them...

I think it depends on what type of regression are you expecting? 10% then yes he's still fine, 15% would that still put him as the best? 20%? How much faith do you put in the Sens/Karlsson being able to repeat the stat that they posted last campaign.

I am a Sens fan and have Karlsson in one league which i won last year and Letang, Chara, Buff and Green in another newly drafted league.
Points only I might favor Letang (because of situation) or Buff (offensive ability as a forward), over or as high as Karlsson. He is a dynamic offensive talent however. Everything went well for Sens last year becoming a top scoring team from the bottom. A lot of Karlssons assists were secondary ones, and outside of Spezza and an elderly Alfie we don't have PROVEN scoring. If a couple of the rookies step up then maybe Karlsson wont regress as much.

I think in a keeper I'd rank them:
Karlsson Letang Green Byfuglien Those are pretty much my clear cut top 4 (though the order is a bit debatable). |

I missed the post about points only so I voted for Weber...he is a multi-cat beast...or just a beast period!!
Points only it's hard to argue against Karlsson, but as others have mentioned I can see regression. I also agree that Byfuglien may have more to show and if Letang was healthy last season I think he would have been #1 or #2 in scoring on D. So if I could change my vote it would be to Letang in points only.

Of the players on the list, I'll take Karlsson first because even if he slips a bit this season, he's still good for 65.
Then I'll take Pietrangelo because as soon as the Hitch got to St. Louis, he took off. At thrid, I'll take Windmen. I don't know who he is, but he has a cool last name so I'll take a gamble.

60-70pts
*Karlsson 50-60pts (in no particular order) *Pietrangelo *Edler *Streit *Boyle *S.Weber *Byfuglien *Chara *M.Green *Doughty In points only leagues, I feel that there are a lot of defensemen really lumped into that low 50s scoring area. I'm not reaching for any. I'll take whichever falls to me. Mark Streit is a guy I like this year. I think he could finish the season 2nd in D points... especially if Lubo is anybit revived. I'm not saying I'd draft him as the 2nd highest D-man in the NHL - but in many drafts I'd expect him to slide to the 9th or 10th D-man, which would be good value. In a points only league I would take Letang but since he is not on the list I would take Karlsson.
