I think the quick answer is Karlsson, due to the potential upside, but with that said I could see a regression this season seeing how Karlsson's numbers was so inflated last season that it'd be hard for him to repeat.

Byfuglien I think is probably the best of both worlds in terms of consistency and gamble... 53 in both of the last 2 seasons... and probably has that "next step" factor.

If you want pure consistency then Weber probably is the "safest" option... 49 (6th), 48 (10th), 43 (17th) and 53 (8th) during the last 4 seasons. You pretty much know what you're going to get with him. With that said, he did lose Suter, so that might change the potential for Weber's point production heading into this season.

Same could be said for Chara 52 (4th), 44 (19th), 44 (15th), 50 (12th), 51 (10th)... things haven't changed all that much in BOS, and he still doesn't face very stiff competition from Crovo and Seidenberg... So he could be a good "consistent" choice too.

I'm a bit of a gambler so I'd go with Buffy!

yep, but only because I don't trust Karlsson... if he has another 70+ point season, then he's earned my trust, but too little data to dive head first into thinking he can repeat.

If you read my column this week, i've provided all my reasoning...

I honestly wouldn't be all that surprised if he put up 50 points this season...

The thing is Karlsson was ahead by such a wide margin that he can have a serious regression and still lead all dmen in points. I can't logically put anyone in Karlsson's league right now.
