People with any seats can go to the suite if you know the suite host.

For example.....my buddy hosts the Greektown Casino suite at Joe Lewis, whenever I know he is hosting that particular game, I'll buy the cheapest tickets I can find and go into the suite (free food (wings, hot dogs, spreads, etc.) and free booze). Free booze being the deciding factor because the suites in Joe Lewis are way at the top.

Now back in Toronto. Platinum seats are primarily owned by corporations. All you need is a friend of a friend of a coworker (connection) to get into the suite and 'enjoy' the game with other losers who are there for just the entertainment and corporate atmosphere.

Sounds like a hell of a deal!! I'm thirsty..
