Very sad, where was "Leaf Nation", that I always hear about??

Again, about 65% of platinum seat holders only use their ticket to get access into the arena. They then take the elevator up to their respected suites.

Another thing, sections 118,119,and 120 (camera side) behind the players bench don't get filled up until after the 2-4 whistle usually. The hallway for platinum seat holders in this section is blocked off for when the players come out of their dressing room, and unless you are there before they block it off sometimes it can take a while to get to your seat.

Im not defending how shitty this looks on TV, or how silent the arena is.....just saying the arena is packed every night....whether or not the plats are in their actual seats is another questions

It still makes for a piss poor atmosphere.

So people have seats behind the bench and they don't even sit there during the game?? They can just go up and sit in a suite instead?? I didn't know this was even possible..

That's the problem. Even if the people who have the ticket for those empty seats are in the arena, it still represents a large group of people that primarily do not care about what is happening on the ice. Hence why I referred to it as a poor atmosphere.

Ohhh I've been there for a few games, it is abnormally quiet in that rink, and does make for a bad atmosphere.. But I just didn't realize that people have tickets behind the bench and they don't even sit in those seats during the game. Hence why I ask if "they can just go up and sit in a suite instead?"

It wouldn't surprise me. Businesses own large chunks of seats and if they have a press box as well it may be more appealing to have everyone in the same room.

I know my cousin's company had a row of seats and also a press box, so this is certainly possible.

Very weird.. In Winnipeg, you either have a ticket for a seat or a suite, not both.. If you don't have a ticket for a suite, you are not getting past the doors..

With the amount of money flowing in Toronto, these rules can be bent and broken.
