Default Hijack Me Thread

With all the hijacking going on here at Dobber Sports I thought it would be a good idea if we had our own hijack thread. Rules are that you can post anything that you want, say anything you want but you first have to comment on a previous post, add your 2 cents if you will. A lot of you are already good at this and I am hoping that a lot of people will participate in this fun thread. You can post as many times as you like as long as you follow the rules.

I will go first since this is my thread!

When I was a kid my dad took me a lot of hockey games at the old Winnipeg arena. One of my fondest memories was a game against the Calgary Flames. Our seats were at the end rink behind one of the nets. There was a scrum down at our end of the rink on the side boards. Tim Hunter was doing his best Tim Hunter impression and picking on a poor defenseless Winnipeg Jets player. Tim Hunter had the Jets player pinned against the boards and was not letting go. A fan decided that the Jets player needed some help so he climbed the outside boards and then reached over the glass and punched Tim Hunter right in the face! I will always remember Tim Hunters head snapping back as he was not expecting to be punched by a fan.

The crowd roared in delight after seeing what the fan had did. The fan turned around to give the crowd a big wave and as he turned back towards the ice Tim Hunter was waiting for him! Tim Hunter cocked back his arm and landed a devastating punch right on the nose of the fan. The impact was so hard that the fan fell back and landed in the 4th row of seats! The fan was promptly escorted out of the arena by security as the crowd was going crazy! I don’t remember what the score of the game was but that is one of my favorite memories of going to hockey games as a kid.

There was a similar scene at an NBA game several years ago. Commissioner David Stern did not appreciate this kind of stuff as much as the Jets' fans did. Any idea why?

Tim Hunter... what a nose on that guy!!! Craziest NHL nose ever.

I was watching Raising Hope on Tuesday night (a very funny show, IMO) and it was hilarious about the main guy (Jimmy) getting married and finding out during a slide show that he made out with his fiancee's mom back when he was all goth and when the mom had just gotten a huge boob job but still had her old NASTY nose.

Anyways, that was a really fun episode... Tuesday is a fantastic night of comedy on FOX... as later in the night is New Girl (with Zooey Deschanel, likey) which was another funny episode where the guy named Schmidt pretended he was Tugg Romney. Hilarious. I love Schmidt.

Probably because David Stern had money riding on the game. The NBA blows and I am not looking forward to it being the only major sport on during the week.

You have to get the side-profile of Tim Hunter's nose to truly understand how incredibly effed up that thing is. It's more of a beak.
Like I've heard there is a bird (eagle?) that pecks off it's beak until it's a nub to grow a new one. Like THAT is Tim Hunter's nose... a beak.

Now we're comparing beaks and noses, or apples and oranges, or sticks and stones...

I'm so lost. Bring back the NHL.

Is he still alive? Didnt he try and commit suicide?

On another note, did anyone see Bob MacKenzie's expect lineup for the 2013 WJ for Canada? MacKinnon as the 13th fwd. Yikes!! Thats one seriously filthy roster.

Did he? No clue.

You have a link (for the 2013 WJC, not Owen Wilson suicide)?
