Actually this is also true lol, a few of my friends' houses can't get signal at all. A week ago I was standing on my buddy's driveway and my signal was just dunzo.

Yeah the retention services is where it's at. They'll typically do what they can to try and entice you to stay. Ultimately, you'll probably end up still paying a relatively larger sum (like at least 40-50 a month), but I guess the upside is you can get them to throw in more stuff for that price that you would normally wouldn't get for the same price. If you're lucky though they'll toss in a few rebates here and there.

i was a customer of bell at the time i also got the retention number of telus a said 'i was interested in switching. this is waht ive been offered by bell to stay with them can you beat that'.etc.
getting the retention number skips all the bs of getting 'patched through to my superior'.

It also prevents you from getting screwed as well. One of my friends tried to do the old "not happy with my plan, I want to cancel it" and instead of patching her through to retention services they just cancelled her plan lol.

plus they never take away what you have so youll get grandfather in as prices go up and packages go down.
i still have unlimeted data and they havent offered that here for years.

Man, I hate how the only way to get decent internet/tv/wireless plans these days is to try to pit companies against each other.

But considering the plan I have right now, almost anyhting will be an improvement.

Imagine how bad it would be if they had a monopoly.
