Default Need to Keep 5

For the first time in my fantasy career I am playing in a partial keeper (keep 5, no restrictions on position). I just inherited this team and have a pretty good idea what I want to do but thought I should check with dobbernation.

League stats are: G, A, +/-, PPP, SOG, FW, HIT and W, SV%, GAA, SO.

We get 5C, 6W, 1F, 4D, 4G (164 G games but can start up to 4 G per night), 6 bench, 3 IR.

The team is:

Kevin Bieksa (Van - D)
Brent Burns (SJ - D)
Alex Pietrangelo (StL - D)
Keith Yandle (Pho - D)
Travis Hamonic (NYI - D)
Lubomir Visnovsky (NYI - D)
Jason Spezza (Ott - C)
Zac Rinaldo (Phi - C)
Joe Thornton (SJ - C)
Tyler Ennis (Buf - C,W)
Jeff Skinner (Car - C,W)
Max Pacioretty (Mon - W)
Milan Lucic (Bos - W)
Brenden Morrow (Dal - W)
Chris Neil (Ott - W)
Alexander Semin (Car - W)
Ryane Clowe (SJ - W)
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (Edm - C)
Nicklas Backstrom (Was - C)
Derek Dorsett (Cls - W)
Patrik Elias (NJ - C,W)
Matt Moulson (NYI - W)
Shane Doan (Pho - W) NA
Chris Stewart (StL - W)
Tim Thomas (Bos - G)
Mike Smith (Pho - G)
Travis Zajac (NJ - C)

I am leaning towards keeping Backstrom, Spezza, Yandle, Pietrangelo and Mike Smith (would need to draft some guys who hit in the first few rounds). I can't see keeping Thornton with SOG and HITS as he is lackluster in these cats.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

You aren't going to keep Thornton because of HITS?!
Have you looked at Yandle's HITS?

Anyways, I've listed six and it does not include centers.
In pools with FOW, you want #1 centers that take a lot of draws.

If this is MY team, I'm cutting Pietrangelo and keeping my four #1 centers.
But, most people feel comfortable with having a solid D... so you'll have to pick the C you like least and cut them.

Backstrom - Obvious (Pts and FO)
Spezza - Obvious (Pts and FO)
Pacioretty - SOG machine
Pietrangelo - Best D in the league
Mike Smith - you need to keep a G

Lots of tough decisions there.
As mentioned above. Can't go wrong with #1 Cs.

This league's lack of PIM and inclusion of FW makes this totally geared towards 1st line center's. I'm going with your 4 best centers RNH, Backs, Thornton and Spezza and Smith(G). The only other guy worth considering is Paciortty because his hits are valuable. The d-man seem to have the least value to me and it would be a bad move dropping RNH for one of them considering what his upside is.

im going to be different here and say c/w are amazing in your set up giving u fow at wing so ild go
Jason Spezza (Ott - C)
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (Edm - C)
Nicklas Backstrom (Was - C)
Mike Smith (Pho - G)
Jeff Skinner (Car - C,W)
+
Joe Thornton (SJ - C)
Alex Pietrangelo (StL - D)

my reasoning for this is it allows you to draft other fow centres and keep a young over all team still.

Wow that's a lot of forwards vs D guys 12:4

So you have max games for goalies - do you have any other games played limits?

Out of curiousity, how many teams in this league?
