I need your help. Fellow owner (and co-commish no less) has been after Benn hard. I'm a big fan of Benn but I always try to see past those feelings if I can make a deal thats better for me in the long run.

I'm trying to win this year. I was 4th last the past season and prepared for this season by getting lots of picks and building my keepers.

He's offered Perron, Ott, and my choice of OEL or SHattenkirk for Benn and Coyle.

Solid value? Or is it a stupid downgrade move on my part?

With your scoring system the difference between Benn and Ott was closer than I thought but I still don’t like the deal. Benn was the 24th best skater in your league last year (while missing 11 games) so I would hold onto him. If you feel like you have to move him you could try to get E. Kane coming back but make him pay for that upgrade. Or try to pay a bit on your side and land Stamkos . . . the best skater in your league last season.

Too many leagues this year... I think I own every player somewhere.

Bad downgrade.
Benn is the best player in that deal by far and that most often decides who the winner or loser of the trade is.
I"d play hardball and go after Quick and Shattenkirk. G and D are the areas you could use an upgrade in.

with your setup, i really think that you will regret moving benn if you decide to let him go. as stated above, he was very effective in your scoring system last year and i think he will prove to be elite with your settings after this season. my recommendation is to keep benn...

I get - Niemi, Shattenkirk and my choice of Perron/Ott

He gets - Benn, Garon, Tyutin

He's pushing for an upgrade on Tyutin but I think I can keep him to this.

How is that? Is it enough to move Benn?

Nope not enough to move Benn - the problem with Niemi is that he is not on solid ground as the Sharks starter. Too much risk here.
