I put Schneider as your worst goalie but you seem hellbent on keeping him over two elite goalies. Talk us through the thought process.

My keeper decision in goal was between Price and Schneider. League salary, which increases annually, determines the draft pick that must be forfeited to hold a player and also determines the length of time that a player could be held.

To hold Miller, I would need to forfeit a 2nd round pick, and would be able to keep him for 1 year.

Price would cost a 9th round pick, amd I would be able to hold him for 3 years.

Schneider would cost me a 18th round pick, and I would be able to hold him for 5 years.

If not held, all of these three goalies would be drafted in the first 2 rounds. There is no value in holding Miller. Instead, I can secure one of the other goalies with a later round hold and will be able to re-draft either Miller or a similar tender in round 1 or 2. Some good players do not get held becuase of salary, so they are available. It really comes down to value in my opinion.

I am banking on Luongo getting moved and Schneider putting up solid numbers, especially since expectations are that MTL will be mediocre. I understand it is a risk, I'm hoping for the reward....

In a roto league Schneider is the slam dunk keeper anyway with GAA and SV% being 2 of the 4 goalie cats. In a H2H he is the best keeper for this year, only if Luongo gets traded early - but I would keep him and suffer through given the pick issues with other goalies.

I think Richards grit is worth a shot here since you hate Semin.
