That's true, but I'm wondering if there should be a maximum leeway time? It would suck if he didn't pick for another week or more and everyone had to wait till their allotted time slot.

Speaking of Shakedown - is he still active? I noticed he made 0 moves last year and finished over 250 games below the maximum.

Geez, I had a little "mod error" there for a moment. Hit the wrong button and ended up posting this in ccsitdown's thread instead of my own!

Thanks for pointing out the early pick cc. I would ask that everyone respect their timings when there are outstanding picks still on the board. If Shake were to say that he wanted Pouliot with his pick, he would get him as the Barons pick was due from 6 pm EST Wed night. Let's hope there are no issues with this pick.

There should be no need to rush the picks now that the NHL is locked out and there is no NHL hockey for the forseeable future. Once they settle, I'm sure it will take at least a couple of weeks to get spooled up and the games start flowing.

As for Shakedown, I don't recall receiving an email saying he was dropping out. I hope he is still in. Sometimes it can be hard to find the time to dedicate to properly run all the leagues we are in and we put off dropping a team or two until we KNOW it's time. I did send him an email letting him know his time slot to pick has passed and he could jump in and make his selection anytime.

We don't wait for missed picks in a sense that when it's your scheduled draft slot, you are free to make your selection. The guys who miss their picks can jump in anytime after their time slot, but we won't go back in time and undo anyone who picked legally.
